GUILD ON THE GO!

2008 begins with eager anticipation for the Guild as we continue with enticing fundraising events, informative meetings and exciting travel plans ahead. Our membership list grows each day as we offer members a warm welcome to the Guild family. Check the Guild calendar for our Membership meetings at the Liberace Foundation & Museum located at 1775 E. Tropicana Ave beginning at 6:30 p.m.

SAVE THE DATE

February 18 - Martini Monday Musicale. Please consider joining us for our next Martini Monday Musicale on Monday, Feb. 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the luxurious Painted Desert home of Michele Rizza and Tandy Coggs. Our first Martini Monday Musicale on Dec. 5 was fabulous, so do not miss our lively gatherings. Cost is $40 per person. To make your reservation call Juliana McRae at 233-1946. Two more of these popular events are planned for April and June.

March 28 – New Member Wine and Cheese Soiree. Melanie and Leon Persson, membership co-chairs, will host a festive evening for members and potential members from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at their lovely Henderson home. Premier members and potential members are free, all others are $10.

ORCHESTRA DONATION

In January the Guild will present another $15,000 donation to the orchestra. Funds received from our highly successful Fall Fantastique Luncheon on Nov. 14 at the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel honoring Mayor Oscar Goodman and welcoming Music Conductor and Director David Itkin make up this second donation of our fiscal year. The beautiful fall table settings, upscale auction items and sumptuous meal made this an incredible day. With this donation, our grand total is $140,000 since July 2003.

VOLUNTEERS

Linda Eastman, volunteer chair, is delighted with the response from members to assist with orchestra projects. Are you aware we now are spreading the word about the Las Vegas Philharmonic at the Met Live in HD opera productions at the Regal Movie Theater in Summerlin and the Colonnade in Henderson? Please call Linda if you want more details of this opportunity as well as other varied and exciting assignments.
